Emotional Intelligence & Interpersonal Effectiveness

Emotional Intelligence & Interpersonal Effectiveness Overview

A full-day working session on the human side of leadership. Participants build emotional intelligence across four interconnected pillars, self-regulation, empathy, social awareness and relationship management, and leave with one specific, dated, written commitment.

Technical skill gets people promoted into leadership. It rarely keeps them there. What separates leaders who thrive under pressure is the ability to regulate their own reactions, understand what others need, read what is really happening around them and handle the conversations most people avoid. The day closes with a personal Commitment Card exchanged with a partner for accountability two weeks later.

What we cover

  • Module 1: Self-Regulation The space between stimulus and response, and why it is neither suppression nor indulgence. Recognize your own triggers and widen that gap. (90 min)
  • Module 2: Empathy Three things empathy is not: agreement, weakness or sympathy. Understand what someone else needs without losing your own judgment. (90 min)
  • Module 3: Social Awareness Why visibility problems are usually safety problems in disguise. Build the conditions where your team tells you what is happening before it is too late. (75 min)
  • Module 4: Relationship Management Clarity is kindness. Why avoiding directness does not protect anyone, and how to handle a difficult conversation with clarity and care at once. (60 min)
  • Commitments and close (30 min)

Every private session is adjusted to your tools, your files and the outcomes you are trying to hit. The final agenda is confirmed with your facilitator before delivery.
